Full Description
December 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A Second World War military site, possibly an anti-aircraft gun emplacement or searchlight emplacement, is visible as buildings and structures on 1940s aerial photographs (S1-S2). At the southern end, a group of huts and other structures is visible along the hedge line. A surfaced track leads to a faint circular structure or mark at the northern end of the site. No trace of the site is visible on more recent aerial sources (such as S3).
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 21 December 2023.
