Map

January 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Earthworks of a possible medieval headland or medieval to post medieval boundary are seen on visualised lidar data (S1). The bank and ditch features may relate to a possible medieval headland previously noted during field walking at the site (NHER 30224). It is also possible that feature may relate to a medieval to post medieval field boundary. Alternatively, the features may have related to a boundary associated with Old Rectory Farm (NHER 4191) located approximately 70m to the north. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently (2017) it is likely that the features still survive as low earthworks.
