Full Description
February 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Earthwork ditches, which may relate to possible medieval to post medieval field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). The features are not visible on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2017 (S4), and have presumably been levelled. It is also possible that the features may have related to post medieval to modern drainage ditches. The features are not recorded on the readily accessible historic maps (such as S5).
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 21 February 2024.
