Map

May-July 2014. Strip, Map and Sample Excavation.
Excavation on route of Wissington Pipeline Diversion (Field 12).
The stripping of this section of the pipeline easement revealed no potentially archaeologically-significant remains. A narrow east-north-east to west-south-west aligned linear feature exposed at the eastern end of the site had vertical sides and a flat base and was therefore most likely a field drain of relatively recent date.
No finds were recovered in this field.
Information from report uploaded to OASIS. HER copy awaited.
