Map

March 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Cropmarks of a possible post medieval field boundary are seen on aerial photographs (S1). The date of the ditch is unknown. However, a post medieval date for the feature is suitable. The feature is not recorded on the readily accessible historic maps such as the Ordnance Survey 2nd edition 25" map (S2). Previous archaeological monitoring of topsoil stripping (NHER 35173) in the surrounding area, recorded multiple features including two ditches of a probable post-medieval date.
