Full Description
April 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Possible ridge and furrow, probably of post medieval date, is visible as earthworks within Gressenhall Park (NHER 51031) on 1940s aerial photographs (S1). More recent aerial photographs (S2) and visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2017 (S3) show that the earthworks have been levelled. The block of ridges appears to be bounded on its northeastern side by a narrow ditch. The earthworks are visible on only one run of aerial photographs, and it is possible that they are instead temporary agricultural marks.
