Summary

A variety of boundary banks and ditches, probably field boundaries of medieval to post medieval date, are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs and visualised lidar data. The lidar survey was flown in 2017, and it is probable that the earthworks it shows still survive, but features that are not visible have presumably been levelled. The boundaries lie within Gressenhall Park (NHER 51031), and probably – at least in part – represent the boundaries of fields incorporated into the park when it was laid out, possibly in the 18th century. Apparent continuations of some of the boundaries have been recorded outside the park (NHER 68050, for example).

A variety of boundary banks and ditches, probably field boundaries of medieval to post medieval date, are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2) and visualised lidar data (S3). Some elements may relate to the park itself. Fragments of what was probably the boundary of an earlier, larger park (NHER 50576), visible in the same area have been recorded separately (NHER 68223). Some features have been mapped by extent, where there is a conflict between what is visible on different sources, and elements appear to overlap.
