Summary

Earthwork (since levelled) and soilmark banks and ditches of an unknown date, are visible on aerial photographs. The bank which is visible as an earthwork on the 1940s aerial photographs is presumed to have been levelled as the feature is not visible on recent (2017) visualised lidar data. It is possible the features may have related to medieval to post medieval field boundaries.

Earthwork (since levelled) and soilmark banks and ditches of an unknown date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). The bank which is visible as an earthwork (centred at approximately TF 9163 1694) on the 1940s aerial photographs (S1) is presumed to have been levelled, as the feature is not visible on recent (2017) visualised lidar data (S3). Although the date of the features is unknown, It is possible that the features may have related to medieval to post medieval field boundaries. It is also possible that some of the mapped features could be associated with modern agricultural activities. The soilmarks of possible geological features (not mapped) are also visible across the area on S2. The mapped features are not recorded on the readily accessible historic maps such as S4.
