Summary

The earthworks (since levelled) of probable medieval settlement remains are visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. The features are not visible on the visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2017, and have presumably been levelled. The features consist of three possible house or building platforms, boundary banks and boundary ditches.

The earthworks (since levelled) of probable medieval settlement remains are visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s (S1). The features are not visible on the visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2017 (S2), and have presumably been levelled. The features consist of three raised platforms which may relate to house or building platforms. Boundary ditches are visible between the platforms and may have related to property boundaries. Sections of possible boundary banks are visible on the edge of the southern platform (centred at approximately TF 9572 0917) and across the central platform (centred at approximately TF 9572 0922). These feature has been mapped by extent. A further possible boundary ditch or field boundary is visible in the north of the area centred at approximately TF 9573 0927.
