Summary

An earthwork (since levelled) field boundary and an area of possible low ridge and furrow, of a medieval to post medieval date, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. The features are not visible on the visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2017 and have presumably been levelled.

An earthwork (since levelled) field boundary and an area of possible low ridge and furrow, of a medieval to post medieval date, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (S1). The features are not visible on the visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2017 (S2), and have presumably been levelled. The features most likely date to the post medieval period. However, an earlier, medieval date cannot be ruled out. It is also possible that the area of presumed ridge and furrow could be the product of modern agricultural activities. The probable field boundary is not recorded on the readily accessible historic maps such as S3.
