Map

November 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A section of a possible rectilinear enclosure of an unknown date is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1). It is possible that the section of ditch may relate to part of a rectilinear enclosure. Multi-period finds (NHER 20509, 20510, 24783) have been previously recovered from across the surrounding area. The suggested site of Great Fransham Manor (NHER 24783) has also been previously recorded approximately 100m to the north of the possible enclosure.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 22 November 2023.
