Full Description
June 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The earthworks (since levelled) of possible medieval to post medieval boundary ditches are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (S1-S2). The boundary ditches are not visible on the relatively recent (2017) visualised lidar data (S3) and are presumed to have been levelled. The boundary ditches may have related to former medieval to post medieval field boundaries. The features are not recorded on the readily accessible historic maps such as S4 and S5.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 27 June 2024.
