Full Description
December 2020. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
The seven trenches excavated revealed only a single feature – a large depression with a clean silty fill. This was probably a natural feature.
No finds of archaeological interest were recovered, with metal-detecting being hampered by the presence of numerous metal items associated with the site's previous use as a scrapyard.
