Full Description
November 2024. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A possible Second World War searchlight battery is visible as extant structures and earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs (S1-S3). Its principal components were what appears to be a circular emplacement and a line of huts. Later aerial photographs (S4) indicate that it had been removed by at least 1964.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 22 November 2024.
