Summary

A mixture of enclosures and drainage ditches, of probable medieval to post medieval date, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946. They probably at least in part relate to the documentary evidence of a medieval messuage at this site, and the concentration of medieval pottery found here (NHER 30530). Later aerial photographs and visualised lidar data show that while most of the features appear to have been levelled, a few fragments still survive as low earthworks.
