Summary

In 1964 flint and mortar foundations were found just below the ground surface at this location. As post medieval pottery sherds and glass were collected from close by, it is probable that the foundations were once part of a post medieval building.

Foundations of flint and mortar found about 7.5cm to 10cm (3-4in) down and about 45cm (18in) wide and about 60cm (2ft) deep. Iron pan was found below centre of building - poor quality (poorer than that in Costessey pits) - in situ.
Pottery and glass late.
Nothing on (S1) - in an area called 'The Forest'.
