Full Description
March 2025. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Rectilinear enclosure or field boundaries and a small area of possible ridge and furrow, all of probable medieval to post medieval date, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1-S3). Later aerial photographs show that the area had been ploughed by the early 1970s (S4). Faint traces of an embanked element may be visible on visualised lidar data, from a survey flown in 2017 (S5), but the earthworks otherwise appear to have been levelled.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 19 March 2025.
