Summary

In 1834 a high brimmed globular-based pottery vessel was retrieved from a marl pit on Sir Edward Stacey's land. It was dated to either the Bronze Age or Roman period.

1834. Found in Sir Ed. Stacey's marl pit near 'Dobbs Beck'.
Type 'C' Beaker. High brimmed globase type. 16.5cm (6.5in) high, 10cm (4in) diameter, 8.6cm (3.375in) across mouth.
