Summary

A Palaeolithic flint handaxe was found in a potato harvester here in 1974. It had probably originally lain in one of the nearby fields.

Found on potato harvester (so exact findspot uncertain):
1 Palaeolithic ovate flint handaxe. Iron stained and with white patination. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1975.411). Information from (S1). Discovery first reported in (S2).
This object is described on (S3) and in (S4) as an ovate handaxe in slightly rolled condition. It is also noted in (S5) and (S6), although no additional information is given.
