Summary

In 1963 a small medieval copper alloy steelyard weight was found in a garden in this area, still containing lead, and marked with two shields with a double-headed eagle on both.

March 1963. Stray Find.
Found just south of Ravens Gate Way, while digging garden (around 540 yds [494m] south sout-east of Wood Farm):
1 medieval small copper alloy steelyard weight found. Still contains lead. Two pin holes, two shields with ?debased double-headed eagle on both. Diameter 4cm, height 4.3cm, weight 338gms = .74 lbs.
