Summary

This farmhouse dates to 1702, and is a pleasant T-shaped building. A moat was thought to run around the property, but this was probably no more than a collection of drains and a farm pond.

Map

15 January 1980. Visit by E. Rose (NAU).
Farmhouse of 1702 (not 1720 as on NCM map) the date being on the garden wall. It is a pleasant T-shaped
house, typical for its date, not of any great interest. There is a possible moat around the outbuildings of West End Farm on the NCM map. This is not a moat. Features marked by the Ordnance Survey were probably drains, now removed, and a farm pond.
