Summary

Set on the edge of the parish, this mansion has a grand façade block of about 1680. The windows were replaced in the late 18th century and the roof was replaced in the 19th century The house has fine interiors and evidence of timber framing that may indicate an earlier core. To the rear is a service wing of about 1600, much altered, that may have been part of an earlier main building.

Mansion, on edge of parish.
Grand façade block of about 1680 refenestrated late 18th century, roof replaced 19th century; fine interiors, evidence of timber framing of contemporary or earlier date. At rear, service wing of about 1600 with one panelled room, much altered 18th century with new windows, ovens etc. Carved stone fragments 12th to 15th century are in 20th century contexts and may be recent imports.
