Full Description
1938-9. On foreshore south of Winterton Ness at mean sea-level or 1.2m (4 feet) below it in clay bed with organic material. J.N. Jennings and J.E. Sainty found sherds of Roman pottery, animal bones and briquetage. Pottery includes Claudian-Neronian jar rim and black micaceous jar with cordons in gritty paste.
