Summary

In 1884 a medieval ceramic jug was found on a mound known locally as Black Hill (see also NHER 11924). However, attempts to locate this mound, and thus the findspot, have so far proved unsuccessful. The nature of this mound also remains undefined although it seems unlikely to be a barrow.
