Full Description
July 1991. Watching Brief.
Work being carried out for the Norwich Preservation Trust disturbed archaeological deposits.
Post medieval building being renovated cut into medieval pits and revealed lines of possible earlier buildings.
Report (S1) and plans in file. The results of this work are also summarised in (S2) and (S3). See also drawing of wooden object found during the renovations (S4).
The finds recovered have now been accessioned by the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2007.3).
