Summary

In 1917/1918 flint, brick and tile walls, a well, pits and a ditch were exposed by coastal erosion. At the time they were thought to be Roman. Roman coins, a prehistoric stone axehead and an undated dagger have been collected from the site.

1917 to 1918. At Dinah's Gap.
High tides exposed brick, flint and tile walls, including a number of sandstone blocks 46 x 31cm (18 x 12in). Some wall plaster.
Pits also found on beach here.
Stone axe, dagger, shells, Roman coins reported.

Small house, garden and well shown on Ordnance Survey map from 1907 (S3) now gone.
