A late 18th- or early 19th-century brick house with shaped gables and a central semi-circular Doric porch. The house has sash windows and a central pediment, and is now a hotel.

Full Description

February 1952. Listed, Grade II.

Shaped gables, Late Georgian, front dated 1796 Roman Doric porch. Details from (S1).

Despite above mention of date, the 1987 amended Listing Descripion (S4) assigns to early 19th century.

Excerpt of Listing Description:
"House, now public house. Early 19th century. Gault brick with roofs of black glazed pantiles. Double pile plan. Two-storey south front in three bays...Portico porch of flatened semi-circular from supported on reeded columns and pilasters...Timber modillion eaves cornice and central pediment. Gabled roofs. Gable heads have concave parapets rising to internal end stacks.
