Summary

This medieval half octagonal moat with an L shaped outer enclosure surrounded Bokenham Hall that was owned by the priors of Buckenham. The interior of the moat has now been covered with farm buildings.

The moat is depicted on (S1) as a half-octagonal inner moat with an L-shaped outer enclosure. (S2) shows that the inner enclosure has been destroyed by farm buildings.

(S3) shows moated enclosure as a pond, and the wet ditch as a detached boundary feature. The small moated enclosure shown on (S4) has been filled and levelled. The wet ditch, shown as 'moat' survives.
