Summary

A watching brief in 1992 during the conversion of a former maltings to a theatre noted flood deposits and made up ground for the foundations of a medieval building.

March 1992. Watching Brief.
Two test pits approximately 2m by 2m at top but narrow at bottom, and approximately 2m deep, were observed during conversion of the former maltings to a theatre. Both revealed made-up ground, with standing water at the bottom of both.
