Summary

A Roman lamp and coin, a medieval jug handle and a post medieval tile were recovered in 1995 during gravel-digging works.

1995.
While digging for gravel. (Hole dug to about 1.5m, 5 feet).
1) Roman lamp (handle missing) with As of Vespasian (69-79 AD), plus charcoal near it. About 75 cm (2 foot 6 inches) deep.
2) medieval unglazed twisted jug handle and ?post medieval tile said to have been found deeper than Roman objects. About 1m deep!
Six more holes/trenches dug but nothing else found.
