Summary

The ruins of a 14th century church to the southeast of All Saints' Church (NHER 8968). All that remains is part of the west tower, split completely down the middle and forming two sentinel-like figures that can be seen for miles around.

Visited at request of owner to discuss programme of tree felling with Forestry Commission officer [1] and [2] of Easton College, whose students will be undertaking the work. Agreement was reached whereby the trees growing on the area of the nave, as revealed by aerial photography, will all be felled. It is anticipated that machinery which might cause further disturbance will not be used.
