In 1850 a Neolithic or Bronze Age axe hammer (a perforated stone object) was found in Attleborough parish. The exact location and nature of its discovery are uncertain.

Site not locatable - 'Near same spot urns found and several tumuli exist'.
Perforated axehammer described as iron hammerhead but obviously stone from watercolour drawing. Igneous rock? 10.5cm (4.1in) long.

[1] lived at Hargham Hall in Quidenham parish near Attleborough boundary. There are several tumuli known in the area.
