Summary

In 1968 and 1978 a number of prehistoric worked flints were found at this location. These included a Neolithic flaked axehead, a Neolithic flake, undatable prehistoric scrapers and a possible pot boiler. Metal-detecting between 1992 and 2020 recovered a Roman pottery sherd; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a medieval buckle and a post-medieval silver buckle.
