Summary

In 1963 a Bronze Age bronze spearhead was found when it became caught in a harrow. It was found close to the boundary between the parishes of Great Melton and Wymondham. There is quite a dramatic difference between the height of the land on the north of the boundary and that to the south.

1963. Field on north side parish boundary around TG 1250 047 about 2.4m (8ft) below level of field on south side parish boundary around TG 125 045. The parish boundary here (grid square TG/12 04) is defined by a ditch with water.
Land to the north is common land.
