July 1971. Human lower jaw from St Olaves churchyard and a few post medieval sherds from surface. More sherds from nearby (NJA).

July 2010. Trial Trenching.
Archaeological evaluation.
In the southern area of the site excavation revealed five medieval burials, comprising four adults and one child, sealed by post-medieval soil. A series of post-medieval pits, one containing architectural stone fragments, was followed by 19th century walls and sealed by 20th century demolition and levelling deposits. In the northern area of the site building footings of post-medieval date incorporating some medieval material including limestone and flint were encountered. The eastern area of the site revealed deposits probably relating to the fill of a large pit with finds of 17th to 18th century date including clay pipes.
