The earthworks of possible medieval ridge and furrow, in addition to the post medieval ditch previously excavated, may be visible on aerial photographs (S2-S3) adjacent to Dunston Manor. It must be noted that is it feasible that the parallel ridges could relate to post medieval land improvement associated with Dunston Park.
S. Horlock (NMP), 23 March 2009.
