Map

Possible moat at Street Farm.

3 October 1979. Visited by E. Rose (NAU).
Probably a moat. Widest on south-west and south-east; narrow ditch on north-east, crossed by bridge. Gone on north-west (apparently under house, which is timber framed, 17th/18th century?, modernised). However too overgrown to see clearly.

February 1999. Visit.
'Moats' very overgrown.
H. Paterson (A & E), 26 March 1999.

December 2003. Visit.
Moat now cleaned out. House is in fact a remarkably ornate early 17th century building of two cells with gable stack, extended slightly beyond the stack in timber framing, probably c.1700.
See (S1) in file.
E. Rose (NLA), 2003.
