Summary

A Late Bronze Age hoard of 118 copper alloy objects and fragments of objects, including axes, swords and a rare looped guide ring, was found during the construction of Peterhouse Junior School in 1952. The hoard may be a metalworker's collection of material that was deposited in the 7th century BC. It was placed in the gathering ground of a small stream. This was found close to another Bronze Age hoard (NHER 10557).

Hoard I.
Late Bronze Age metal hoard (Late Bronze Age II) of 118 objects. Includes carp's tongue sword fragments.

Also a socketed axe. This socketed axe is certainly the one mentioned below as in the NCM.

One socketed axe in NCM recorded as 'found in Great Yarmouth' before 1955.

Hoard II is NHER 10557. Found around 686m (750 yards) north northeast of Hoard I.
