Map

1952. Stray Find.
Mesolithic flint assemblage comprising flakes and cores found in light soil within garden, near the north bank of the little Ouse River. Information from (S1), which describes this as a Mesolithic flint industry. See file for sketch location plan (S2).

These finds were also reported in (S3), although no further details are given. According to (S4), a selection of these flints was retained by the finder, who occupied the adjacent bungalow [1]. These finds are listed in (S5), but are not quantified, suggesting that none of the museum collections consulted held material from this site. These finds are also noted in (S6).

January 1953. Site visit.
Visit by R. R. Clarke (NCM), 30 January 1953. Information from (S4).

Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 27 March 2013.
