A wayside cross formerly stood in Barford "by the Hingham road", see (S1).
It is not mentioned in (S2) or (S3).
An old notice in the church connects this with the will of Bachecroft 1501 to erect a cross on Barford Bridge, but without giving evidence that this was ever carried out.
