Full Description
1974. South of ruined church of Bickerston. From ploughed surface. Context 2 at above grid reference.
Three pottery sherds, probably medieval.
Lack of surface scatter throws doubt on medieval occupation of area around church.

Medieval: Edward II silver penny, Durham 1307-27.
Post medieval: Charles II farthing 1679, Charles I rose farthing token 1636-49, Nuremberg jetton 1580-1660,
Soldino of Venice 1501-21 Doge Leonardo Loredano, galley halfpence.
