Civil Parish BLO NORTON, BRECKLAND, NORFOLK

Map

Site of windmill or windpump. Marked on (S1).
E. Rose (NAU), 28 July 1980.

A windmill, post mill, noted as 'removed into the Fen Sept.1821'. Pulled down 1880.
E. Rose (NAU), 29 January 1982.

[1] states that this site is wrong and that the mill stood one field further east, as shown on (S2) and (S3), where foundations were found in recent years. A second mill stood 'roughly' opposite on the north side of the road.
Yet the marking on (S1) is quite clear and [2] confirms it. Sources need checking.
E. Rose (NAU), 15 February 1988.
