Summary

The road, which survives as an earthwork, is the former line of the main street in the village. Roman coins have been found along the road.

1994. Road is almost certainly earlier line of village street as shown on (S1). Very slight suggestion of bank on south side of line, but vegetation precludes detailed study to confirm alignment.
