Full Description
6 July 1977. NAU aerial photography.
Cropmark - half a ring ditch visible on (S1).
This might be an infilled pit but no pit is marked here on 6 inch Ordnance Survey map (S2).
E. Rose (NAU), 5 June 1981.
April 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The C-shaped cropmark (‘half a ring ditch’) described above is visible on aerial photographs (S1), centred at TG 1264 0612. This location corresponds, more-or-less, with that of a pit or pond depicted on recent Ordnance Survey maps, and which is visible as an earthwork on earlier aerial photographs (S3). The cropmark is therefore unlikely to be of any archaeological significance, and it has not been mapped by the NMP.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 21 April 2010.
