Late medieval double-looped buckle with a projecting shell-shaped lobe on each outer edge of frame. Tongue looped round central bar.

1991. Metal detecting
Unusual ?Middle Saxon ansate brooch? One terminal missing, other decorated with dot-in-circle. 'Bow' is narrow with engraved chevron decoration made of pairs of lines. Broken catchplate on reverse.
