1989. Metal detecting in ploughsoil. 13th century bronze buckle with moulded tongue rest.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).

7 February 1998. Reported to have been found in about 1989, probably the same as previously reported.
Buckle frame, a long narrow oval in shape, with offset narrowed bar. The outer edge has a knop either side of pin rest, which itself is extended into a long plate with a shaped trefoil end and a central groove. The pin survives, made of tapering strip curled around bar.
