Full Description
1995.
Infilled pond of some age and suspected by [1] of being spring fed, has considerable extent of burnt flint surrounding it. Dense concentration on northern flanks, lesser on east and west, thin on south. Overall spread around 40m east to west.
Site on south side of side valley to the River Nar, with no darkening of soil in vicinity. Pottery found on east side, no worked flints noted on around one hour of fieldwalking in vicinity.
One Roman micaceous greyware body.
One glazed Grimston body sherd.
