NHER 32514 (Monument record) - World War Two pillbox

Ruins of quite common type 24 pill box. Roof is blown up. Date 1940.

April 2004, Norfolk NMP. Central grid reference amended from TG 1240 4331 to TG 1240 4329.
A World War Two type 24 pillbox situated in a field boundary at TG 1240 4329, to the south of an area of coastal defences at Weybourne (NHER 38577-9, 32505). A second pillbox is located in the same field boundary to the immediate south (NHER 32513). This structure is now in quite a ruinous state, although it can be viewed on aerial photographs taken prior it being blown up (S1).

This pillbox was encountered during the survey, and it was noted that a fire had damaged the pillbox.
