Summary

Metal detecting on this site in 1996 and between 2023 and 2024 recovered Late Iron Age and medieval coins and a number of other metal objects, including a medieval buckle and copper alloy seal matrix; a medieval/post-medieval strap mount; a post-medieval silver thimble and gilded silver penny of Charles I and a possible post-medieval pipe tamper fragment.

Conical seal matrix with hexagonal facetted handle ending in a lozenge terminal pierced with a quatrefoil. Circular die engraved with a lion's head, facing front, tongue sticking out, and, around, * S ' IOhAN DE VCAM (`Seal of John of Uckham'?). (S2).
