1997. Metal detecting finds by [1]. South end of field. Part of large scatter 34251.
Box padlock of Winchester type C. Perforated L shaped arm, end missing, and case with a central swelling decorated on underside with fleur de lis in a border all made up of lines of punch marks. Bolt missing. Corrosion from iron springs inside. Medieval.
Medieval belt mount. Slightly domed, with quatrefoil design in relief. Angles in between the foils are filled with bright orange enamel. No rivet now visible, but probably had a soldered-on central single rivet. 13th/14th century. Seen by BM [2].
